About Erin

Erin Peterson serves as the Minnesota/Dakotas market leader and Minneapolis office leader at RSM US. In these roles, she focuses on delivering RSM’s capabilities to clients, driving local growth and fostering the firm’s culture in her market and office. Erin also leads the enterprise assurance team for the life sciences capability, which serves biopharma, life sciences services and medtech companies.

Experience

Erin has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. Prior to her current roles, she served as the assurance leader for the Minneapolis office and has held numerous other leadership positions since joining RSM in 2008.

Throughout her career, Erin has worked with fast-paced, high-growth companies on financial compliance needs, primarily in the life sciences, technology, business professional services and manufacturing industries. She has extensive experience with SEC reporting, internal control over financial reporting audits, complex revenue recognition, lease matters, mergers and acquisitions, and capital market transactions. She enjoys serving as a technical resource and business advisor to her clients.

Erin embodies RSM’s commitment to stewardship through involvement in internal training, recruiting, volunteering and participation with local nonprofits. She demonstrates the firm's values through her leadership and client relationships.

Erin, a former leader of RSM’s STAR employee network group, which advocates for women’s leadership in the workplace, has always been dedicated to mentoring others within the firm. She also served on STAR’s board for the central region when the group was first established. Erin is a relationship-driven leader internally and externally.
