About Mac
Mac Carroll is a senior manager of tax services for RSM US LLP, providing industry-specific insights to help clients navigate complex tax issues and stay at the forefront of change. He was selected for the firm’s Industry Eminence Program in 2024 as a senior analyst covering the construction industry, working alongside the firm’s economists and other program participants to analyze industry trends shaping the landscape for middle market businesses. Mac is based out of RSM’s Dallas office.
Experience
Mac has more than a decade and a half of public accounting experience serving closely held corporations and family-owned businesses in various industries, with a heavy focus on the construction sector. His clients include construction management companies, general contractors, subcontractors, utility contractors and material suppliers. He has deep knowledge and experience in individual, corporate and partnership income tax return preparation and planning, tax consulting and compliance for multi-entity/multistate organizations, entity structure planning, and long-term contract accounting and tax reporting.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, where he was a crew member on cargo planes that supported a variety of missions worldwide, Mac enjoys being part of high-performance teams. At RSM, he has found the diversity of teams and broad variety of opportunities to serve clients a good fit for his team-oriented personality and enjoys mentoring team members and creating deep relationships in which others feel empowered to succeed. He is a husband and a father and enjoys spending time outdoors with his friends and family. His perfect day off is a long bicycle ride that ends at a craft brewery and sharing laughs with loved ones.
