How do we determine the cost of NetSuite ERP implementation?

Determining the cost of an ERP implementation requires weighing multiple factors and one size does not fit all. Following is an overview of what we consider during the life cycle of an implementation.

Discovery and requirement
We’ll start your project with a discovery and requirement phase designed to help us gain a deeper understanding of your business. We’ll explore current systems, project scope, required functionality, preferred IT environment, budget and future growth plans.
Configuration and user acceptance testing
This phase typically accounts for half to two-thirds of the overall cost. A few simple factors we use when estimating are the number and type of NetSuite modules, the number of system users and your ability to define requirements during the sales process. Instead of facing a steeper learning curve later, you’ll work with our NetSuite consultants inside your account starting in the early stages of implementation to get you up to speed as soon as possible.
Customization, integration and data migration
The requirements and cost here can vary widely depending on the complexity of your processes. NetSuite ERP is designed to be highly configurable with little effort. When customization gaps are identified, we typically present three options: manual workaround (lowest cost or free), fully customized (most expensive) and semi-customized (a middle-ground approach). The result is a precise balance of cost, timeline and customization to fit your needs and budget.
Training
The final cost consideration is training. RSM’s education-oriented approach moves your stakeholders up the learning curve so they can become familiar with NetSuite quickly. As their knowledge increases, they can help with configuration and solution design, train other users and advocate for NetSuite within your organization. Training is more of an ongoing process than a single event, and many stakeholders become NetSuite power-users, eager to explore deeper functionality.
